An old friend of the Cartwrights, Andy Walker, travels back to his home city, Virginia City, as a singer. His shady uncle becomes Hoss' manager for gathering funds. The uncle, Thadeus Cole, plans to steal the $20,000 that Hoss earned, but eventually gives the whole amount to the Cartwrights and letting off his 10%.
