Benjamin "Benj" Cartwright is the son of Joseph Cartwright (Little Joe) and his wife Annabelle Cartwright He was named after his grandfather Ben Cartwright.

Michael Landon Jr. protrayed Benj Cartwright in Bonanza: The Next Generation (1988), Bonanza: The Return (1993), and Bonanza: Under Attack (1995). He is the son of Michael Landon who portrayed his father Joseph in Bonanza.[1]
